The Space Science and Engineering Center (SSEC) Historical Photographs collection includes photographs from the period 1949 to the present. They represent the Center's early atmospheric and space science research programs, instrument development, and people. Dr. Verner Edward Suomi, founder of the Center and professor of meteorology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is prominently featured in many photos.
